North School Association look forward to welcoming you to the Christmas Bazaar on Friday 1 December. The fun starts with Santa’s arrival at 5.45pm, followed by all your favourite stalls, Santa’s grotto, the school choir and the grand raffle draw. Don’t forget to return your raffle tickets before Friday!
Our Christmas Lunch is a special meal that requires pre-ordering.
The meal will be free for children in Reception, Year 1 and Year 2. Children in Key Stage 2 will pay the usual price of £2.20. All children will receive booking forms which need to be completed and returned by Friday 1 December – please note that bookings cannot be accepted after this date.
Further copies of the form are available from the school office. Children in Key Stage 2 who are eligible for free school meals will also need to return a slip to pre-book their Christmas dinner. Please note that the Christmas lunch replaces the normal menu for the day and will be the only meal served that day
The Christmas performance dates for December are as follows:
- Reception – Wednesday 6th at 9.30am
- Year 1 and 2 – Friday 8th at 9.30am and 2.00pm
- Year 3 – Friday 15th at 9.30am
- Year 4 – Friday 15th at 2.00pm
- Year 5 and 6 – Tuesday 19th, an Evening Carol Concert at 7.00pm (please note there will not be a creche available for this performance)
Christmas performances are a time for parents to relax and enjoy the shows without worrying about your little ones. If you can, please make arrangements for toddlers and pre-schoolers to be looked after by friends or relatives when you come to a show. If this is not possible, you will be asked to drop children off at the creche when you arrive. Please make sure you book a place in the creche, forms are available from the office, to be handed in as soon as possible. Please note the creche will open 10 minutes before the start of each performances.
A new school dinner menu starts from Monday 30th October.
Please note that there will be a special menu for all of week commencing 13th November. This is menu made up of favourite dishes, to mark National School Meals Week. Children have been given paper copies of the menu for the week.
For those parents who are unable to speak to your child’s teacher on a Thursday afternoon, our Autumn Term Consultation Evening will be on Thursday 23 November. Please see the consultation evening letter, for more information. If you would like an appointment please return the the form to your child’s teacher, who will arrange and appointment and confirm the time to parents directly.

It’s Bingo time again on Friday 17 November at 6pm. All the family are invited to come along and enjoy a great evening. Supper and soft drinks will be available, see booking form for more information.Tickets available in the office: Adults £3, Children £1. Secure your tickets early to avoid disappointment. This event always sells well!
Open lessons will be taking place during November. These are an opportunity to come into school and join your child’s class to find out what the children have been learning and help them. Lessons will be as follows:
Thursday 2 November at 2.00pm – Year 4 classes
Wednesday 8 November at 2.00pm – Year 6 classes
Thursday 9 November at 9.10am – Year 3 classes
Tuesday 14 November at 2.00pm – Year 5 classes
Wednesday 15 November at 9.10am – Year 1 classes and Mrs Spalding’s class
Thursday 16 November at 9.10am – Miss Jacobs’ class
Parking will be available in the playground for the Open Lessons. We look forward to seeing parents there!
Reception will be having Stay and Learn sessions in November and parents will be informed which session they are invited to.

World Food Week runs from 16 to 20 October. Our caterers, eats, will be putting on a special menu on Tuesday 17 October to encourage pupils to experience different tastes. The menu that day will be as follows:
