For admission to the school an application must be made to Essex County Council.

Applications for admission to Reception September 2025

From 4 November 2024 applications can be made for children who are due to start in Reception in September 2025. Applications can be made online to Essex County Council via www.essex.gov.uk/admissions. The statutory national closing date for applications is 15 January 2025.

Open Evening for prospective Reception 2024 parents – Wednesday 27 November 2024

There will be an opportunity for prospective parents/carers to visit the school on our Open Evening on Wednesday 27 November 2024.

The school will be open between 6.00 and 7.30pm for parents to look around the school and meet the Headteacher, Foundation Stage Leader and the school Special Educational Needs Coordinator.

During the evening there will also be a presentation for parents at 6.30pm. So, you are welcome to tour the school before the presentation and/or afterwards as well.

Parking will be available on the lower playground, accessed via Victoria Chase.

Mid-year transfer applications
If your child is already at primary school and you require a mid-year transfer you should complete the Mid Year Primary School Application Form.

Nursery Applications
The Nursery has places for 26 children in each session. Children are eligible for a funded place in Nursery the term after their third birthday and attend the morning Nursery (8.30 to 11.30am) or afternoon Nursery (12.30 to 3.30pm). Click here for more information about the nursery.

All children are offered 15 hours of funded nursery education per week (over 5 morning or afternoon sessions). In addition to this, families who are eligible for up to 30 hours of nursery education will be able to combine morning and afternoon sessions to cover the whole school day (8.30am to 3.30pm). Parents can check if they are eligible on www.childcarechoices.gov.uk.

Parents can register their child on the waiting list after their second birthday by completing the Nursery application form and returning it to the school office. Children are placed on the waiting list in age order. Parents are offered a place when a space becomes available.
