Nursery
The Nursery, which is located at the front of the school has its own entrance. The inside space is bright, spacious and well-equipped. There is a separate playground. The Nursery is open Monday to Friday (term time only) has places for 26 children in each session.
Funded Early Education Entitlement (Universal Funding Entitlement)
All children are eligible for the universal entitlement of 15 hours of funded nursery education per week the term after their third birthday. Children attending for the universal funded sessions will be allocated either 5 morning (8.30 to 11.30am) or 5 afternoon (12.30 to 3.30pm) sessions.
Extended Funded Entitlement for Working Parents
There is an Extended Funded Entitlement for Working Parents of up to 30 hours a week for parents who meet a set of eligibility criteria, which can be checked and applied for via www.beststartinlife.gov.uk/. Parents who are eligible for the Extended Funded Entitlement can combine morning and afternoon sessions to cover the whole school day (8.30am to 3.30pm).
Admission to Nursery
Parents can register their child on the waiting list after their second birthday by completing the Nursery application form and returning it to the school office. Children are placed on the waiting list in age order. Parents are offered a place when a space becomes available.
