Nursery

The nursery, which is located at the front of the school has its own entrance. The inside space is bright, spacious and well-equipped. There is a separate playground.

The Nursery has places for 26 children in each session. Children are eligible for a funded place in Nursery the term after their third birthday and attend the morning Nursery (8.30 to 11.30am) or afternoon Nursery (12.20 to 3.30pm).

All children are offered 15 hours of funded nursery education per week (over 5 morning or afternoon sessions). In addition to this, families who are eligible for up to 30 hours of nursery education will be able to combine morning and afternoon sessions to cover the whole school day (8.30am to 3.30pm). Parents can check if they are eligible on www.childcarechoices.gov.uk.

Parents can register their child on the waiting list after their second birthday by completing the Nursery application form and returning it to the school office. Children are placed on the waiting list in age order. Parents are offered a place when a space becomes available.

“As [   ‘s] parents we have seen a dramatic improvement in her ability to socialise, learn new things and her independence.

This is down to the amazing care and expert attention she has received at North Primary and Nursery. We cannot thank all of the staff enough and we know [  ] will miss you all deeply.

We look forward to a new chapter, knowing that our daughter has been perfectly prepared for this next step. “
